Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor best famous for his role on the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. He discovered his love for acting in his early days at the college classroom and then studied acting at The University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active in both films and television, but it was his character in the smaller screen which brought him fame and a large fan following. His ability to portray characters on both sides of law is a draw for the public. The first show he worked on was a television serial, however, he was later an officer for the NYPD. His small-screen performances are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is thought to be his striking blue eyes, which are considered to be his trademark. They help in portraying tough characters that have charisma. People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured him.
