Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles in famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. From his early college days Meloni had a keen interest in acting. Then he studied at The University of Colorado at Boulder. While he has appeared in movies and in television shows but it's the character actors on smaller screens that have given him popularity. He can play each of the characters on behalf of the police and the other. This is what has made him so popular. In the first television show, he played the part of a killer. Later, he was able to take on the role of an NYPD Detective. For his performances on small screens, he's been awarded numerous nominations for the prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. One of his most striking facial features is believed to be his distinctive blue eyes. They are believed to be his trademark. They helped in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. People's magazine's 2006 list of Sexiest Men Alive included him.
